Unique Easter Treats for Men
This Easter season, make a basket that your husband (or any special man in your life) will fully appreciate! Our DIY "Beer Bunnies," gift-labeled snacks, and sports-ball Easter eggs (filled with "hugs" and "kisses") are the perfect for filling a macho basket he's sure to love.
- Six-pack of beer
- Chalkboard spray paint
- Wood-crate tray or basket
- Chalk-ink marker
- Kraft paper
- Linen fabric
- Clear plastic boxes
- Glue dots
- White yarn
Step 2: Using a chalk-ink marker, write "Beer Bunnies" and the message of your choice on the front of the case.
Step 2: Trace the ears onto linen with a pencil, and scissor a smaller version by cutting inside the lines.
Step 1 -2: Wrap yarn around the outer two prongs of a fork until it is thick, and cut when you've reached your desired size.
Step 3: Thread a small, separate piece of yarn through the prongs and tie a double knot around the center.
Step 4: Remove yarn from fork and cut through all the loops.
Step 5: Trim any uneven bits and roll the ball in your hands to help give it shape.
SWEET AND SALTY EASTER SNACKS
A clever gift-basket trick is to buy some simple treats from your local market and pour them into gift boxes made of clear plastic. Print labels on your home computer and attach them with ribbon to instantly make pedestrian snacks look like luxuries.
SPORTS-BALL EASTER EGGS
We filled cute plastic eggs in the shape of sports balls (purchased at the local grocery store) with Hershey's Hugs and Kisses for a treat that's sweet without being girly.
For a finishing touch, add a chic bottle opener and display all of your Easter treats in a handsome crate-tray wrapped in cellophane and tied with a bow.
No one is ever too old for an Easter basket, so get creative and make one for your man this holiday season!
