we heart cupcakes

love is a batter-field

Okay, we love cupcakes. We really love cupcakes. Now we can show how deep is our love by making heart-shaped cuppies with this awesome pan from Kitchen Krafts.

This would be perfect for Valentine's Day, as well as birthdays, anniversaries, even romantic-comedy movie nights. Best of all, if someone compliments you (and they will), you can get all melodramatic and tell them to "Eat your heart out."

Okay, they almost make we want to HAVE a romantic comedy movie night. That's a great idea. And is it just me, or does that frosting look particularly yummy?

Mmmm! Those would looks so elegant with pink sugar-crystal sprinkles.

I <3 cupcakes but if you're looking for the latest dessert trend, why not try this:

Cute.

The only trouble I see with it is that every time I've made cupcakes (not often, mind you) I always have trouble figuring out how high to pour the batter.

Too high, and you get this spilled over muffin top. Too low, and you end up with an anemic cupcake. This pan with its dual layers totally messes with me! :)

James, a good rule of thumb is 2/3 filled. Include the height of the top layer in your calculations; I'm sure the manufacturers did.
