now we're cooking
Kitchen store Sur La Table has come out with a fancy line of cooks' tools designed to make anyone look and feel like a master chef.
Do I really need a granny turning fork? Yes, even though I'm not sure what to use it for. Butter curler? Totally. Tomato shark? For the name alone, absolutely.
What are your favorite kitchen tools?

I'm actually going to the Sur la Table in Newport Beach tonight for a book signing by Masaharu Morimoto (aka Iron Chef Japanese). How funny that as I was checking my blog feeds for the day that you mentioned Sur la Table.
I'm definitely going to check these out. After all, who doesn't need a tomato shark? :)

As a quick follow-up, I learned from the friendly Sur la Table salesperson that the tomato shark not only removes the core of the tomato, it's also great for removing strawberry stems. Who knew?

OK, now I MUST get a tomato shark. How did I ever live without one?

Okay, after being a rep for Pampered Chef for 10 years, it's amazing how many people get excited about products we have carried for 30 years. And it is amazing how people take products already working extremely well and successfully, make a small change in color and WALLA! slap a new name on it and make money. If you like these products, go for the BEST, with excellent Warranties, PamperedChef.com

Kitchen tool.... A bowling ball
When I asked my Italian Grandmother why she had a bowling ball in her kitchen cubboard, she said she uses it to press out the bitterness in her sliced eggplant.
